Grief
You may wonder why I named such a sweet giraffe ‘Grief’. Upon closer inspection, you may notice that there is a small tear under each eye. I was grieving the impending loss of a friendship as I was working on this piece and I was surprised to find that my photo reference had tears. So I decided to name it ‘Grief’. But alas!, there is a happy ending…..the friendship was restored.
This artwork was created using various types of pastels.
This piece can be purchased as the original or as a print. The artwork is 9x12” and comes in a black mat, bringing the over-all size to 11x14”. This will fit into any standard size 11x14” frame (not included).
